So...I´m here! I absolutely love it and am feeling very at home, despite how different it is from there. Everyone at CBC is great! I mean, who wouldn´t want to go to a college where not only do you get to go to the professors´houses for dinner (and they constantly tell you you can come back any time) and where it only costs 40 cents round trip to get to the nearest mall. An adorable Ecuadorian girl came up to me on the bus a few days ago (Ecuadorians don´t really have personal space issues) and started petting my hair and hugging me and wanted a picture taken. My roommate Ahna took a few pictures, so sometime I´ll try to figure out how to post one. So basically, life is great, and I´m having a blast!

Kira!!
I am delighted that you're having a great time. I totally understand how exciting your encounter with that little girl is. For some reason kids who aren't american are just cuter. I wave at almost all the little kids I see here in Kenya. They usually wave and smile back. There was just one little boy who looked about ten who gave me the Kenyan equivalent of the finger. Oh well, you can't win them all. It's funny because it will be like 72 degrees outside and all the kids will have on ski coats and little knit hats. Very cute. Isn't it great how cheap things are in other countries? Candy costs like 50 cents and I went to a movie yesterday and got a ticket, popcorn and drink for less than 5 dollars. Good deal. I'll continue to pray for you and I have no doubt that God will teach some pretty cool stuff while you're at CBC. What's your roommate like?

much love,
kylie
